What is pediatric occupational therapy, and how can it help my child?

Pediatric occupational therapy focuses on helping children develop the skills they need to participate in their daily occupations including activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting), play, education, leisure, social interactions, and sleep. Our therapists use a holistic approach to address each child's unique needs to promote growth and success in their daily lives.

What age groups do you work with?

We work with children from birth through birth years old who have a variety of developmental difficulties. We work with sensory processing, reflex integration, self-care skills, fine and gross motor skills, visual motor and perceptual skills, handwriting and dysgraphia, learning difficulties, emotional regulation, feeding and picky eating, play, and social skills. We treat children with various diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD/ADD, Down Syndrome, and other conditions.

What should I expect during my child's initial evaluation?

During the initial evaluation, our therapists will conduct a comprehensive, standardized assessment to understand your child's strengths and areas of concern. This evaluation helps us create an individualized treatment plan tailored to support your child's development.

How do you incorporate fun into therapy sessions?

We believe children learn best through play and having fun! Our therapy sessions are play-based with engaging and enjoyable activities to help children achieve their developmental goals.

Can you provide services at my child's school?

It may be possible! In addition to providing care at our two convenient locations in Katy and Houston, TX, we are proud to offer services at nearby private schools and ABA clinics. We believe this makes it convenient for your child to receive the support they need in an environment where they spend a significant amount of time.
